SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.2 : Installation stuck on Waiting for the Central Management Server (CMS) to start

SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.2 : 

Installation stuck on 

Waiting for the Central Management Server (CMS) to start

 Solution :

1. Check if any other services running on default ports 6410, 6400, 8080, 8443, 6405 etc

2. If no services are running but still you get same error

Check error file in logging folder inside ${destination folder}/sap_bo/logging

SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.2 : The CMS system database connection information provided does not have a valid format

 SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.2 Error :

33007 SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform CMS: The CMS system database connection information provided does not have a valid format. Please check that the CMS system database connection information is correct.

35101 The roor server reported an error initialization Failure. 

Reason : SAP BusinessObjects BI platform CMS: The CMS system database connection information  provided does not have a valid format. Please check that the CMS system database connection information is correct. Unable to parse connection string.

Solution :

Your DB user should have admin privileges. Use DBA User.

If still you get same error then 

While putting DB details, choose option 1 for Resetting database and do the fresh installation in the empty Destination folder.


SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.2 CMS_INCREMENTIDWITHROLLOVER7 Invalid Identifier Error

While Installing SAP Business Object server, if you get following error :

33007 Database access error. Reason ORA-00904: CMS_INCREMENTIDWITHROLLOVER7 Invalid Identifier Error

35101 The roor server reported an error initialization Failure

Reason: Database access error.  Reason ORA-00904: CMS_INCREMENTIDWITHROLLOVER7 Invalid Identifier Error

Solution :

Your Oracle user should have admin privileges. use DBA User

If still you get same error then 

While putting DB details, choose option 1 for Resetting database and do the fresh installation in the empty Destination folder.
